Congratulations to Emeritus Board Member Cho-yun Hsu for being Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fourth Global Chinese Studies Ceremony
Dec 04, 2020On November 28, 2020, Emeritus Board Member Cho-yun Hsu was honored with the bestowal of a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fourth Global Chinese Studies Ceremony. This prestigious event, held by the Hunan University Yuelu Academy, Phoenix Media, and Dunhe Foundation since 2014, recognizes outstanding achievements by senior scholars whose work has shaped the field of Chinese Studies.
During remarks of gratitude, Emeritus Board Member Hsu noted that during the past millennia Chinese culture has faced countless challenges yet has always been able to adapt, which represents a truly remarkable feat of human history. He also called on people in today’s cultural fields to engage in further discussions of how Chinese culture can best adapt to the current challenges it faces, while also enhancing their own efforts to make contributions towards the future.
Emeritus Board Member Hsu, who is also an Academia Sinica Academician and Professor Emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh, has devoted his distinguished career to the study of Chinese cultural history, and has earned worldwide renown for his stimulating research results. In addition, he has consistently helped the Foundation in its efforts to promote international scholarly exchange. The Foundation is deeply proud of his exceptional achievements having been recognized in the form of this great honor.
