Professor Marianne Bastid-Bruguière, fellow of Academy of Moral and Political Sciences, Institute of France, visited Taiwan at the invitation of Ministry of Culture, ROC. President Chun-i Chen invited her to visit the Ching-kuo Chi-Hai Cultural Park and Chiang Ching-kuo Presidential Library and hosted a luncheon.
Professor Bastid-Bruguière is a renowned expert of modern Chinese history. At the inception of the Foundation, she was serving as the president of the European Association for Chinese Studies and actively introduced the Foundation grants and fellowships available in Europe to European scholars. Additionally, she served as a member of the Foundation's European Fellowship Committee, taking on related review responsibilities. We are profoundly grateful for Professor Bastid-Bruguière's invaluable contributions to the Foundation's efforts in advancing Sinology research.
