Professor Oldrich Kral, Former Director of the Chiang Ching-kuo International Sinological Center at Charles University in Prague (CCK-ISC), has Passed Away

The Foundation regretfully announces the passing of Professor Oldrich Kral, former Director of the Chiang Ching-kuo International Sinological Center at Charles University in Prague (CCK-ISC). He was 87 years old.

Professor Kral played a major role in preparations for and the establishment of the CCK-ISC, and served as its inaugural director. Through the years, he made unstinting contributions towards the promotion of international scholarly exchange in the field of Chinese Studies, while also contributing to the revival of the venerable tradition of Czech Sinology as well as enhancing Chinese Studies in Eastern Europe. The Foundation mourns the passing of a great man.
